Submission guidelines
Updated 29 October 2026
We look at every image by hand before it goes on the site. These guidelines explain what we're looking for, so your images can be published quickly.
Good quality
- At least 1,280 pixels on the longest side.
- Sharp, well exposed and not over-edited.
- No watermarks, borders, frames or added text.
Only your own work
- You made the image yourself, with a camera, by hand or with an AI tool, and you own the rights to it.
- No logos, brands or other people's artwork in the picture.
- No recognisable people, unless they have given you permission.
Safe for everyone
No nudity, violence or hate.
AI images
AI images are welcome. Tick AI generated on each one. See AI-generated images.
Pick your best
Please don't send the same image twice, or lots of nearly identical shots of one scene. Choose your favourite.
The license
Every image is published under CC0: anyone may use it for free, for anything, including commercially, without asking or crediting you. A CC0 dedication can't be taken back, so only send images you're happy to give away. The full rules are in section 5 of our Terms.
Why an image might not be accepted
- The image quality isn't high enough (for example it is blurry, noisy or too small).
- We couldn't be sure it is your own work, or it shows logos, brands or recognisable people.
- It doesn't fit our content rules.
- We already have this image or one very like it.
If we can't accept an image, we email you and show the reason in your account.
