Do I need to be a professional photographer?

No. Anyone can share images on Free Image Vault. What matters is the picture, not the camera.

Phone photos are welcome

Most phones take photos far bigger than the 1,280 pixels we need. If the photo is sharp and well lit, it's good enough.

Tips for better photos

• Use good light: daylight from a window or outdoors works best.
• Hold the camera steady, and wipe the lens first.
• Keep editing light. Strong filters often make photos less useful to others.
• Upload the original file. Photos sent through messaging apps or saved as screenshots are much smaller and less sharp.
