Terms of use
1. The images
Images are offered under the license shown on each image page (CC0 1.0, Public Domain Mark 1.0, or our free-to-use license for AI-generated images). Our license page explains what that means in practice.
2. The website
The design, text, code and arrangement of this website belong to Free Image Vault. You may not copy the site, scrape it in bulk, or use automated tools that put unreasonable load on it.
3. No warranty
The site and images are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We check images carefully, but we can't guarantee that every image's license information is correct, and an image may occasionally be published by mistake that we did not have the right to share. You are responsible for checking that an image is suitable for your use, especially for commercial or high-profile uses.
We are not responsible for how you use the images, including any rights of people, trademarks or property that appear in them. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or its images.
4. Reporting content
If you believe an image infringes your rights, use our report form. We hide images while we investigate valid reports, and remove them for good if they should not have been published.
5. Accounts and submitting images
You need an account to submit images. Keep your password private: you are responsible for what is done with your account. When you submit an image you confirm that:
- you made it yourself (with a camera, by hand, or with an AI tool whose terms let you share the result this way) and you own the rights to it;
- it doesn't show logos, brands, other people's artwork or recognisable people without their permission, and contains no nudity, violence or hate;
- you have marked it “AI generated” if an AI tool made it.
By submitting an image you dedicate it to the public domain under CC0 1.0: anyone may copy, change and use it for any purpose, including commercially, without asking or crediting you. A CC0 dedication can't be withdrawn, but you can ask us to take an image off this site. We credit published images with your username. We may decline any image, and remove images or close accounts that break these terms.
6. Changes
We may update these terms. The version on this page is the one that applies.
